Socks For (the) Giants? pt III -the final stretch-

Jaaaaa, mijn eerste paar sokken; AF! Ik ben zoooo trots op mezelf! Ik dacht, leuk, lekker dik, gebruik ik voor mezelf als sloffen. Leuk twee ijskristallen op de voet geborduurd, sneeuwvlokjes erbij, allemaal in leuke ton-sur-ton kleurtjes, he-le-maal goed! En ja hoor, nog geen 30 seconden nadat ik het laatste draadje heb afgehecht, zitten ze om de (grote) voeten van vriendlief en hoor ik kreten als 'die pas jij toch helemaal niet', 'ze zitten mij helemaal goed' en 'maak maar nieuwe voor jezelf'. Geen sokken voor Sassy, maar voor mijn lief, 'the Giant'....SOCKS FOR THE GIANT, nooit gedacht dat het uit zou komen...

[YEAH! My first pair of socks, FINISHED! I'm soooo proud of myself! I thought 'great, nice and soft, thick socks, to be used as slippers in winter, by ME'. Embroided two snowflakes on top of the feet, some smaller ones sprinkled over the rest of the sock, in nice complementing colours... just-like-I-want them! Withing 30 seconds after I fumbled (?) away the last loose thread the're on my boyfriends (giant) feet en I hear cries like; 'they won't fit you right', 'they're pérfect for me' and 'why don't you make new ones for yourself'. No socks for Sassy, but for her love, 'the Giant'...--> SOCKS FOR THE GIANT, who knew it would become a true story...]
